On October 19, 2026, a memorandum of cooperation was signed between the State Organization "Project Office for the Development of Touristic Products" and the Committee of Tourism of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Federation of Uzbekistan Cricket Association.

The document is designed for the development of sportive tourism in our country, the attraction of international tourists to the international sports market and the wide production of touristic potential in Uzbekistan on a global scale. Cricket is one of the most popular sports with a wide audience in the world, especially popular in Great Britain, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa and the rest of Asia (India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan). Attracting tourists from other countries, as well as combining sports competitions with cultural-historical tours, creates new opportunities for increasing privlekatelnosti to Uzbekistan and the international tourist market.

The project is aimed at creating new tourist products by combining cricket tournaments with the rich cultural heritage of our country and historical cities, such as Samarkand, Bukhara and Khiva.
